December 3, 2010 – Ms. Waddy-Thibodeaux’s first book was published and released by Greenwood Press for all
interested in the Underground Railroad.
January 2011 - Mt. Vernon, NY, Schools in Connecticut, the Horace Mann School and schools in White Plains, NY
were visited by Ms. Waddy-Thibodeaux presenting the phenomenal one-woman show, “The Resurrection of
Harriet Tubman for Literacy” and “Meet Mrs. Rosa Parks” during this special history tour, each including a
question and answer session for the students and staff.
Montreal, Canada - February 2011 – The World Premiere of The Lavinia Bell Story: Never Give Up – adapted
from a one-page newspaper article published in Montreal in 1861. It described, in detail, the horrible condition of
a slave woman who had made her way from Galveston, TX all the way to Canada. Born free in Washington, DC,
she was stolen as a child and sold South to be a slave for the rest of her life. This is a new Underground
Railroad Story was written by Ms. Thibodeaux.
Plattsburgh, NY – February 2011 – Ms. Waddy-Thibodeaux performs as Harriet Tubman theater students in a 2-
hour workshop where she shared some of her trade secrets and answered questions from the students.
Germany – February 2011 – M. Waddy-Thibodeaux once again traveled to entertain multiple Army and Air Force
bases in Europe during Black History Month!! She performed as Harriet Tubman and also as Rosa Parks. She
was given honors by the top brass of each base she visited and is making plans to return again in 2012.
New York City, NY – February 24-27 – Harlem Fine Arts Show at Riverside Church
Ms. Waddy-Thibodeaux was invited to perform for attendees by Mr. Dion Clarke of JWD Enterprises Inc., the
person who had the vision for this fantastic Arts Show. She performed her phenomenal one-woman presentation
of “The Resurrection of Harriet Tubman for Literacy” for standing-room crowds and received overwhelming and
enthusiastically-touching remarks from all fortunate to see her show. Among the attendees were Mr. Charlie
Rangel and Mrs. Hazel Dukes with the NAACP Chapter in NYC.
March 10, 2011 – HARRIET TUBMAN DAY IN NEW YORK – Ms. Waddy-Thibodeaux is scheduled to perform for
hundreds at the Harriet Tubman Learning Center at (PS154) located on 127th Street in Harlem, NY in celebration
of “Harriet Ross-Tubman-Davis” as she presents to students and teachers and parents of the community, “The
Resurrection of Harriet Tubman for Literacy” at 1 pm. (FREE TO THE PUBLIC.)
March 12, 2011 – Dwyer Cultural Center in Manhattan, NY at 11 a.m., Ms. Waddy-Thibodeaux will perform her
riveting portrayal of “Sojourner’s Truths” as she re-enacts “Ain’t I A Woman” for all community members and the
general public through Community Works “Women’s History Month Presentations”. Don’t Miss IT!!!
